Philosophy
As a therapist in the Northern Virginia area, I am accustomed to the fast pace of life my clients face on a daily basis. I work to serve individuals and families who are looking to create a more ideal self through supportive techniques and incorporate a variety of psychological theories. I am a strong believer that each individual is unique and therefore benefits from a treatment approach that is tailored towards their specific needs. I have been trained to work with individuals throughout varying steps of life and who may have also experienced trauma at some point in their life. As quoted by David Richo, “Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful part of us.” My belief is that therapy allows one to explore their inner thoughts and feelings and can be used as a tool for building self-esteem. In my work with children, I incorporate play therapy techniques because it is my understanding that play is a child’s language and toys are their words.
